Speech needs to first be enabled by your teacher who has designed the AI agent.
If speech is enabled for the agent you are interacting with, you will see a microphone button in the chat box:
To start speech-to-text, click that microphone button. If you haven’t already, you will need to give permission for Cogniti to access your microphone.
When the microphone is active, the button will flash red.
As you speak, Cogniti will transcribe this into text into the chat box. Once you have finished speaking for a few seconds, Cogniti will automatically send this message to the agent for its response.
When the agent responds, Cogniti will automatically speak the response. You can stop the speaking by clicking the speech button.
After it finishes speaking, Cogniti will automatically switch back to listening. To stop this, click the red microphone button.
